Maya Nasri
Lebanese singer Maya Nasri has been denoted the title ‘best
loved Arab singer’ in Israel, according to a poll conducted by
Israeli television regarding viewer’s interest in Arab
singers.After the news reached Maya, she stated, if the rumor is
true, it is not her fault if Israelis or anyone for that matter,
likes her music. People are free to form their personal opinions
about singers regardless of their nationality, she added.Nasri
has filmed a new music video for the song “Rouh” (Go) with young
director Emile Saleeyati. The general atmosphere of the clip,
filmed in an abandoned apartment in Al Ahsrafieh, Beirut, is
dreary and shows the agony of a woman who suffering from the
desertion of her lover.Nasri recently returned to Beirut after
spending one month in Egypt to take acting lessons with renowned
academics, such as director Dr. Mohammad Abdul Hadi and Dr.

Lebanese singer Maya Nasri has returned to Beirut after spending
one month in Egypt to take acting lessons with renowned
academics, such as director Dr. Mohammad Abdul Hadi and Dr.
Khalifa, to prepare her for her first film.The singer was
interviewed live on the radio station ‘Ether Stars FM’ on the
show "Kalimni Al Voda Phone" (Call Me on the Voda Phone).Maya
was also interviewed on the television program "Al Bait Baitak"
(Our Home is Your Home), aired in Egypt. Maya filmed episodes
for other entertainment programs headquartered in Egypt, and
aired in Gulf countries.Maya expressed her gratitude to
Egyptians for their warm hospitality during her stay. The singer

Residence in Cairo
Lebanese singer Maya Nasri is
residing in Cairo on a temporary basis to attend acting lessons
at director Mohammad Abdul Hadi’s Studio. The singer is
preparing for her first ever role in an upcoming film. Maya was
nominated by her production company ‘Rotana’ to enter the acting
world through the first films produced by the company. The
singer signed two separate contracts to star in two Egyptian
films.According to the London based weekly, Sayidaty, Maya
expressed joy over her upcoming acting experience, and stated
that the role she was offered is well suited for her. The singer
refused to reveal any further details about the film, but noted
that she will be playing the role of an Egyptian lady.
Maya is also taking advantage of her stay in Cairo to film the
song “Rouh” (Go) in the form of a music video under the
direction of Khaled Al Bajouri.

Me), marking her first under her new production company ‘Rotana,’
after breaking her contract with ‘Alam El Phan.The album
features eight songs that vary in style and dialect.Maya
commuted between Lebanon and Egypt to select the songs for the
album, and a number of prominent composers from both countries
contributed to the musical score, such as Marwan Khoury, Hisham
Polis, and Mohammad Rifae’.The singer stated that she hopes
‘Rotana’ will boost her career, and that her new contract
provides her security and protects her rights as a singer. Maya
filmed the music video for her song "Haba Haba" (Bit by Bit),
